NERO at FRIENDS WITH BOOKS – Art Book Fair Berlin

NERO is pleased to announce its participation at FRIENDS WITH BOOKS Art Book Fair Berlin this weekend the 13th and 14th of December, 2014. We will be presenting the new titles: I know it’s a zebra when I see stripes – Laughter is usually the end of the conversation by Dunja Herzog, Forest Theater by Grear Patterson, and Disordered Structures by Alicja Bielawska.

The Berlin Art Book Fair features 100+ international exhibitors of art and artist’s publications along with a program of talks, readings, book signings, and presentations that explore the cutting edge of art publishing today. The participants are artists, art publishers, shops, and studios whose primary focus is on the artist book and alternative art publishing.

Artist’s books continue to enjoy fresh interest, enthusiasm, and creative production, despite the widespread woes of the book, magazine, and newspaper publishing establishment. In recent years, more and more young contemporary art publishing initiatives have been successfully founded. This new art book culture demonstrates that the book is indeed more alive than ever, and that there are always new possibilities to explore how a book may be experienced. As the borders between art publications and works of art continue to become blurred, so do divisions between artist’s books, catalogues, and theoretical readers. Artist and publisher often merge to become one and the same.

The fair is hosted by Café Moskau (Mitte district) and will be open to the public both Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 – 19:00. The entry is free.
