Che Che Colé – 63rd-77th STEPS

63rd-77th STEPS presents Che Che Colé, an online project by Venezuelan artist Sol Calero, on view starting today, 4 february 2015 on their website. This new step in her current research focuses on Salsa, the Latin dance and music style, and explores the multi-functionality and complexities of Latino social and aesthetic space, setting up a subtle dialogue with 63rd-77th STEPS’ physical/symbolic space. Che Che Colé is a paroxysmal Caribbean dance floor, strewn with hidden and downloadable traces.

63rd-77th STEPS – Art Project Staircase – is a project space for contemporary art. The name refers to the final part of a multi-floor staircase (the area between the 63rd and the 77th step) inside a building from the beginning of the XX century in Bari (Italy).
