FLUO NIGHT at the Draftmen’s Congress in Turin
Scheduled to take place on 7 November from 6pm to 12am, Fluo Night is the closing event of the Draftsmen’s Congress in Turin. On this occasion – a collaboration with Club to Club – the walls of Congress will be illuminated by UV lamps and the public will be invited to paint using fluorescent colors: all participants will have the opportunity to interact with existing drawings on a new level that will be added to those accumulated during a month of activities. The evening is accompanied by musical sections from Color 2 Color 2015.
The Draftsmen’s Congress in Turin, presented by Pinacoteca Agnelli in collaboration with Istituto Svizzero di Roma and curated by NERO, is a project initiated by Pawel Althamer that promotes a dialogue made of images instead of words: an environment where everybody is encouraged to interact in a free way and respond imaginatively through drawing. They may be polite or politically incorrect, frustrated or outraged. They can intervene on drawings by others in a true encounter and clash of images. Images they love or hate, opinions they share or claims they stake. Everyone is invited to participate using paint, charcoal drawing, collage or other techniques and materials.
Fluo Night will be accompanied by DJ sets by Logos, Costantino Della Gherardesca, Giorgio Di Salvo, Massimiliano Bomba, Pedro Wirz & Natacha De Oliveira and Gang of Ducks Soundsystem.
