I giovedì della Villa – Questions d’art at Villa Medici in Rome

I giovedì della Villa – Questions d’art is a new series of events dedicated to contemporary creation and organized by the French Academy in Rome. Taking place on Thursdays, each event is divided into two parts – the first at 7:00pm and the second at 8:30 pm.

The sixth round of the cycle I Giovedi della Villa – Questions d’art, scheduled for this Thursday the 31st of March 2016, is dedicated to an icon of French-Italian film and one of the most talented artists of the contemporary international scene. Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, actress and Italian naturalized French director, will be the protagonist of the meeting Un’attrice dietro la cinepresa, which occur at 8.30pm in the Grand Salon with the participation of Muriel Mayette-Holtz, French actress and and director of Villa Medici, and Fabio Ferzetti, journalist and film critic. For the occasion, a short cycle of film screenings by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi has also been organized. On Thursday the 31st of March Il est plus simple pour un chameau … [France/Italy, 2003, 110’], with Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Chiara Mastroianni, Jean-Hugues Anglade, Lambert Wilson will be screened after the meeting with Tedeschi; followed by Les trois soeurs [France, 2015, 110’], with Éric Ruf, Bruno Raffaelli, Florence Viala on on Friday the 1st of April at 7:00pm; and Un château en Italie [France, 2013, 104 '], with Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Louis Garrel, Céline Sallette, Filippo Timi, to close the program on Saturday the 2nd of April at 7:00pm.

At 7pm, however, artist Nico Vascellari will present a new project (performance/installation), designed specifically for the spaces of the Pavilion of Ferdinando de’ Medici as part of Art Club, the section of I giovedi della Villa focusing on contemporary creativity and the visual arts. The latter has been organized by Pier Paolo Pancotto. Vascellari’s installation will be displayed until Saturday the 2nd April 2016.
