The eleventh annual NY ART BOOK FAIR, presented by Printed Matter Inc., begins this Friday 16 September, 2016. NERO is pleased to announce its participation with a range of old and new titles, including artists’ books and limited editions.

We will be presenting brand new releases Roman Stańczak. Life And Work, the first monograph on the work of Roman Stańczak, Il Diario del Vento / Wind Diary, the artist’s book published on the occasion of GIRO, Olaf Nicolai’s contribution to the German Pavilion of the 56th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale Arte di Venezia, 2015, as well as the catalogue produced following Anton Bruhin’s retrospective at Istituto Svizzero in Milan – Le caselle di Anton Bruhin (23 October – 12 December 2015).

Other recent titles include Jimmie Durham: Sound and Silliness, a book published for the exhibition by Jimmie Durham at MAXXI (5 February to 2 June 2016) as well as the unprecedented Gustav Metzger: Act or Perish! – A Retrospective, the catalogue of the first extensive overview of Gustav Metzger organized in 2015-2016 at the Centre of Contemporary Art in Torun and Kunsthall Oslo and Stiftelsen Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo.

A range of limited edition publications and older titles can also be consulted and purchased at the fair. Don’t miss the opportunity to get one of the limited edition posters on the occasion of the upcoming book titled Katz-Katza publication curated by Enzo Cucchi.with unpublished drawings by Alex Katz and poems by Vincent Katz.

This year’s NYABF16 will once again includes an ever-growing variety of exhibitors –representing publishing at its most innovative and affordable to rare and antiquarian dealers offering out-of-print books and ephemera from art and artist book history, as well as publishing houses focusing on the intersections of art and activism.

Finally, NYABF16 will also host an array of programming and special events, including: The Classroom, a curated engagement of informal conversations, workshops, readings, and other artist-led interventions, for the eighth year running, as well as The Contemporary Artists’ Book Conference (CABC), in its ninth year, featuring two full days on emerging practices and issues within art-book culture.
